Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2009 Vortex Support

MW2 (2009) for Vortex — Campaign + Multiplayer

This community extension adds Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) support to Vortex so you can download and manage mods from nexusmods.com/codmw2.

Campaign (iw4sp.exe) and Multiplayer (iw4mp.exe) share the same Steam folder. Vortex will look for Steam apps 10180 and 10190. You can also pick the folder that contains both executables.

  []Ultimate ASI Loader x64 renamed to winmm.dll next to the game exes. Current Steam MW2 is 64-bit. The extension will warn you if the loader is missing.[/]

  How mods are installed

  • []GameFolder packs (MW2 Native Gamepad) copy scripts\ and configs\ into the game root[/]

    []FOMOD installers use Vortex's built-in FOMOD support[/]

    []Loose .asi files go into scripts\[/]

    []ASI loaders (winmm.dll) go next to iw4mp.exe / iw4sp.exe[/]

    Launch tools: Campaign / Spec Ops and Multiplayer.
