Borderlands Vortex Extension

This extension adds Borderlands modding support to Vortex Mod Manager.

The Steam version of the game should be automatically discovered. Other versions may need to select the install location manually.

Both the legacy and GOTY versions are supported. Most mods are NOT compatible with GOTY "Enhanced" version.

This extension will automatically download and install the TFC Installer for UE2/3 and Python SDK. These are required for many mods.

Mod Installation Notes:

• []Downloads and installs TFC Installer automatically.

  []Installs TFC Installer mods to "TFCInstaller\Mods" folder.

  []Installs mods with a folder in the game root to the root folder.

  []Automatically downloads and Installs the Borderlands SDK to the game folder.

  []Installs SDK mods (.py and .sdkmod files) to the "sdk_mods" folder.

  []Installs mods with a subfolder of "WillowGame" to that location (i.e. "CookedPC", "Movies").

  []Mods with a .upk/.u file will be installed to the "CookedPC" folder.

  []Installs Movies mods (.bik) to the "WillowGame\Movies" folder.

  []Any mod with a "Borderlands.exe" or .dll file will be installed to the "Binaries" folder (exact folder varies based on game version).

  []Other mods are installed to the game root folder.

  Usage Notes:

  • []You can open several useful files and folders using the buttons within the folder icon on the Mods toolbar.

    []Includes a tool for UPK Explorer. The tool will be installed to the "UPK Explorer" folder

    []If your mod requires TFC Installer, you need to run the included tool from the Dashboard tab in Vortex to install those mods to the game archives.
