Utilizing the vast amount of astronomical observation data, Guo Shoujing compiled the Season-granting Calender and gave the length of 365. 2425 days, more closely approximating the 365. 2422 days of an actual solar year, with an accuracy equal to that of the Gregorian calendar issued three centuries later.
