📋 About This Mod
It simply reduces the damage suffered by 50% (original mod)
Added in 1. 1 the possibility to choose between multiple versions: 16%, 24%, 47%, and 50% damage reduction
There were similar mods to do the same thing, but I noticed that they have never been updated for the patch 1. 06, so I did it
Installation:
-Choose one of the four versions:
- Sekiro reduction version 16 (recommended in NG+)
- Sekiro reduction version 24 (recommended in NG+7)
- Sekiro reduction version 47 (recommended in NG+7 Hard Mode)
- 50 Damage Reduction for Sekiro (the original release, for journalists only)
-Copy content (mods, dinput8.dll, modengine.ini) into Sekiro folder
Note:
The mod does not affect bullets and arrows damage for a technical problem.
Mod edits EquipParamProtector--> "Head" --> "... DamageCutRate" params. For some reason there is not (that I know) param for bullets/arrows and the only way to influence these is "PhysicsAttackRate" in ClearCountCorrectParam, but it is for NG reference.
Mods suggestions:
- Ayame Summer Edition
- eden VOLITION M97 for Sekiro Shadows Die Twice for more vibrant and realistic images (a my mod)
///
(Only for Who Want Modding)
DSMapStudio 1. 8. 1 (old), DSMapStudio 1. 09. 1 HOTFIX 2
Param file edited: EquipParamProtector
I edited all "Head" param like "Protagonist _ Head" and all others. Than I Change all "... DamageCutRate" like "neutralDamageCutRate" and others.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Gives you four difficulty levels to pick from, so you can fine-tune the challenge.
- Solid community trust with 138 endorsements and over 5,400 downloads.
- Lightweight and focused—does exactly what it says, no bloat.
⚠️ Cons
- Only works with v1.06, so if you've updated the game, this might not work.
- Damage reduction is a blunt tool; it doesn't offer nuanced difficulty options like enemy tweaks.
For Sekiro players who love the combat but find the difficulty too punishing, especially on boss fights. Also great for players who want a more relaxed playthrough without using cheat mods. Skip if you're a purist who wants the original challenge.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check your game version in the main menu—this mod only works with v1.06.
- Back up your original game files before replacing anything, just in case.
- Start with the 24% reduction to see if it feels right before going higher.
