VariantOrganisms adds 10 brand-new variant creatures to Casualties Unknown, each with unique stats, behaviors, and ecological niches. All creatures are seamlessly integrated into the game's vanilla world generation, appearing in specific layers at appropriate densities. The mod is built on top of CreatureKit, a powerful enemy registration and spawning API that makes creature creation as simple as filling out a form — no complex prefab assembly required. All creature names and descriptions automatically switch between English and Chinese based on the game's current language setting, with full support for community Chinese translations (WC.json).

1. Scavenger (清道夫)

A near-harmless creature that feeds on detritus and leftovers.

2. Peeker (窥视者)

A wary creature that maintains a fixed distance and never gets too close.

3. Herbivore Tick (食草蜱)

A rare variant of the overgrown tick, docile in nature, with plump and nutritious flesh.

A special variant of the shadecrawler, having forsaken venom for heightened aggression and bloodsucking.

A special variant of the wallbiter, the strongest of its kind — larger, fiercer, and more aggressive.

A variant of cave ticks that has been exposed to high radiation. Its body glows faintly and is attracted to the heat of living things.

7. Broodmother (巨蜱母虫)

An extremely rare overgrown tick variant, bloated and slow, its abdomen heavy with gestating larvae. On death, it releases a swarm of cave ticks.

8. Thornback Hatchling (棘背兽幼体)

A juvenile thornback, with a thinner carapace and smaller build, making it more agile and active than its adult counterpart.

9. Froststrider (冰原行者)

A special variant of the snowstrider, adapted to extreme cold. Its thicker and heavier fur makes it move slowly.

10. Sideslash Crystal (横斩晶体)
