Overview

Every time you want to look up a cassette on the Black Market or assign it to a poster, you have to read the SKU off the case and type it in manually. SKU QoL removes that step entirely.

Pick up a cassette. That's it. The mod stores the SKU and uses it automatically the next time you sit at the computer or open a poster's SKU editor — whichever comes first.

Features

Computer — automatic Black Market search

The moment the camera animation finishes, and you're seated at the computer, the Black Market search fires with the stored SKU. You don't have to touch the keyboard. If you already have a cassette in hand when you sit down, the search runs immediately. If you pick up a cassette while already seated, same result.

Poster — automatic SKU assignment

Open the SKU editor on any poster (wall, standing, or small format) and the stored SKU is committed the instant the interface appears. The confirm button is never shown — the SKU just goes in.

Both paths are always active

You don't switch modes or configure anything. Pick up a cassette and the mod is ready for whichever action you take next. Use the computer, use a poster, use both — the stored SKU works every time until you pick up a different cassette.

How it works

The mod uses native game delegates — no property overrides, no UI hacks.

The Black Market search is triggered via the Committed delegate on UI_ScreenComputer_Widget_C — the same delegate the search button calls internally. The poster assignment goes through SKU Command Button Committed on PosterFrame_C — again, the same function the in-game confirm button uses.

Both hooks register once with a deduplication guard, so there's no risk of double-firing even if the mod reloads mid-session.

Installation

Configuration

All options are at the top of main.lua. No separate config file.

• []Debug — Set to true to see hook registration status and any errors in the UE4SS console. Useful if something isn't working as expected.[/]

  []HookDelayMs — How long to wait after load before registering hooks. The default of 3000ms works for most systems. Increase it if you're seeing hook errors on a slower machine.[/]

Compatibility

• []Does not modify save data in any way.[/]

  []Does not conflict with other mods that use Cartridge_Base_C, ComputerScreen_C, or PosterFrame_C — hooks are registered with a dedup guard.[/]

  []Works with all three poster types: wall, standing, and small.[/]

Known limitations

• []The stored SKU is not saved to disk — it resets when you restart the game. This is intentional; the intended workflow is pick up → use immediately.[/]

  []If no cassette has been picked up yet in the current session, neither path does anything.[/]
