DESCRIPTION

Retro Rewind Toolkit is an offline save utility created specifically for Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator.

It allows you to modify some useful values in your save files through a simple interface, without manually editing the save file.

The tool automatically detects the standard Retro Rewind save folder and lists the available saves. You can also select the save folder manually if your saves are stored in a different location.

The selected save displays its current money and store level before making any changes.

IMPORTANT: Retro Rewind must be completely CLOSED before modifying a save.

STORE LEVEL - IMPORTANT

Store level editing is only available after that save has reached level 1 naturally in the game.

This restriction is intentional. A save that has not naturally reached level 1 does not yet contain all the progression data required for safe level editing.

Once level 1 has been reached naturally, the store level can be changed with the toolkit.

AUTOMATIC BACKUPS

Before modifying a save, Retro Rewind Toolkit automatically creates a backup of the original save file.

Backups are stored inside a "RetroRewindToolkit_Backups" folder in your save directory.

INSTALLATION - WINDOWS VERSION

1. Download the Windows version.

2. Extract the complete ZIP file to a folder.

3. Run RetroRewindToolkit.exe.

4. Make sure Retro Rewind is CLOSED.

5. Select your save.

6. Choose the modification you want to make.

Do not run the EXE directly from inside the ZIP file.

PYTHON VERSION

A separate Python version is also available for users who prefer to run the source code directly.

Python 3. 8 or newer is required.

Extract the Python ZIP and run RUN_TOOLKIT.bat, or run RetroRewindToolkit.py directly with Python.

Retro Rewind Toolkit es una herramienta offline creada específicamente para Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator.

Permite modificar algunos valores útiles de tus partidas guardadas mediante una interfaz sencilla, sin tener que editar manualmente el archivo de guardado.

La herramienta detecta automáticamente la carpeta estándar de guardados de Retro Rewind y muestra las partidas disponibles. También permite seleccionar manualmente la carpeta si los guardados se encuentran en otra ubicación.

Al seleccionar una partida, muestra el dinero y el nivel de tienda actuales antes de realizar cambios.

IMPORTANTE: Retro Rewind debe estar completamente CERRADO antes de modificar una partida.
