Small bugfix patch on top of v1. 8. 2. 1.
Fixed: Pre-v1. 8. 2 saves with hand-edited NR slot numbers (e.g. 30+ NRs in a single genre) no longer show blank shelf covers - extends the v1. 8. 2. 1 legacy fix to the remaining edge case.
Fixed: Deleted New Releases and texture overrides actually stick now and don't reappear on the next build. Installs that already accumulated stale entries are cleaned up automatically on first launch.
Drop the new ZIP over your existing v1. 8. 2. 1 install (or keep them in separate folders), copy your JSONs across if needed, build, install. No data migration required.

Fixed: If you upgraded from v1. 8. 1 with NRs already in your store, the shelf showed the base game's default cover instead of your custom one (standees were unaffected). v1. 8. 2. 1 writes the custom cover to the legacy 2-digit slot too, so your existing save displays correctly again.
Just extract over your v1. 8. 2 install and rebuild - no data migration needed.

Fixed: Custom movies in the same genre no longer share or overwrite each other's covers - this affected both regular genre-shelf movies and New Releases. Each one now gets its own texture slot automatically, no JSON editing required.
New: Sort dropdown for genre tabs and the New Releases tab - sort by name, date added, or last edited.

⚠️ Before You Download - Please Read
This tool completely removes all base game movies and New Releases from the game's movie database. Only the movies you create with this tool will exist in the game.
That's intentional. You fill it yourself - with any movies you want.
If you've ever wished your video store was full of your favorite films instead of made-up ones, this is for you. Real 80s horror classics, your favorite anime, obscure cult films, entirely fictional titles - whatever you want. The store is yours.
It takes some time to set up, but the result is a video store that's 100% personal to you.

Just want to use someone else's collection? You don't need the tool at all. Just download a .pak file from another player and drop it in your game folder. Instructions at the bottom of this page.
📦 Getting Started
Installing the Tool

[]A short setup wizard appears on first launch - it automatically finds your game and the tools it needs[/]

Windows Defender warning? This is a false positive caused by how the tool is packaged. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to proceed. The tool is safe.
