Mod Configurator

Centralized management for your RetroRewind mod settings.

The Problem

RetroRewind supports a vast array of UE4SS mods, many of which use 'config.lua' or 'main.lua' files to control features. As your mod list grows, navigating deep into individual subdirectories (...\ue4ss\mods\ModName\scripts\) to find these files becomes a tedious and repetitive chore.

What This Tool Does

This utility acts as a lightweight command-line hub for your entire mod library. It automatically scans your game directory to identify any mod that contains a configurable script. It allows you to "Favorite" the mods you tweak most often for instant access and "Blacklist" mods that don't require configuration, keeping your workflow clean and efficient.

How It Works

The configurator is a standalone Batch utility that interfaces with the Windows file system. When you select a mod to edit, it calls your system's native text editor (Notepad) to open the target script. It does not modify game code or inject any data into your save files—it simply manages the file paths for you.

Installation

• []Download ModConfigurator.bat[/]

  []Place the file anywhere on your PC (it is fully portable).[/]

  []Double-click to launch.[/]

Usage

• [] Search: Run this first to let the tool find your mods. You can choose to Edit, Favorite, or Blacklist each mod as it is found.[/]

  [] Favorites: Jump straight to the mods you use most. (Updated to include ability to unfavorite)[/]

  [] Unskip: View and manage your Blacklist if you wish to bring a mod back into the search results.[/]

  [] Exit: Safely close the utility.[/]

Compatibility

Compatible with all RetroRewind versions and any UE4SS-based mod. Because it operates outside of the game process, it cannot cause mod conflicts or performance drops. (Any changes to mod configs require reload/relaunch of mod/game)
