A handcrafted expansion featuring 4,029 REAL MOVIES with individual cover art, including 131 NEW RELEASES, built to recreate the ultimate retro video store experience.

This collection was carefully assembled using the Retro Rewind Movie Workshop to create a large-scale, immersive movie database designed to feel like a true retro video rental catalog.

Every title included is an actual released film with proper cover art, built to preserve the authenticity of the video store experience.

The catalog is heavily centered around 1980s and 1990s cinema, with a strong presence of 2000s titles (especially among New Releases), a solid amount of 1970s classics, and select films from the 1960s, 1950s and even 1940s.

This is Version 1. 0, intended as the foundation of an evolving long-term movie expansion.

Catalog Philosophy

This mod was designed with progression in mind.

While New Releases are randomized by the game, deliberate catalog decisions were made to create a more natural sense of your store evolving through time:

  []Some late 1990s titles were intentionally placed as releases [/]

  []Some early 2000s films remain in the standard catalog [/]

This helps preserve the feeling of your store gradually transitioning into newer cinema eras.

Important Notes

Some early 1980s titles are currently flagged as "Old".

This comes from early development decisions, when the catalog originally did not include 1970s content.

This may be refined in future versions so that "Old" titles are reserved exclusively for films from the 1970s and earlier.

Police / Crime / Thriller Category

Pure police-themed films are naturally more limited as a standalone category.

To create a stronger and more balanced catalog, this section was expanded to include carefully selected crime and thriller titles that fit naturally within the same shelf identity.

Many of these films also fit less cleanly into broader categories like Drama or Action, making this classification the most appropriate for overall catalog balance.
