18 Genres Universal Localization Fix translates the six genres added by the third-party 18 Genres mod across shelf labels, title-card styles, the movie interface, and computer database filters.

    Requirements

      Installation

      • []Install the original 18 Genres mod.

        []Extract 18-Genres-Localization-Fix-1. 0. 0.zip.

        []Remove zzzzzzzz_18Genres_ptBR_Fix_P.pak if an older Portuguese-only build is installed.

        []Create RetroRewind/Content/Paks/~mods if it does not already exist.

        []Copy zzzzzzzz_18Genres_L10N_Fix_P.pak into the ~mods folder.

        []Keep the filename unchanged so the fix loads after 18_Genres_P.pak.

        []Select a supported language and restart the game completely.

        Compatibility

        • []Existing saves remain compatible.

          []Compatible with Better Movie Database; category counts are appended to the localized labels.

          []Mods replacing the same localized Movie Genre enum, genre-title-card assets, or Game.locres files conflict. The later-mounted PAK wins.

          Translation and Validation

          • []Official game translations are reused where available; genres introduced without official entries use manually supplied translations.

            []Every original localization entry is preserved and exactly six 18 Genres identities are added per culture.

            []All 60 cooked title-card atlases pass decode-after-cook inspection.

            []The final V11 PAK contains exactly 210 members and unpacks byte-identically to the validated staging tree.

            []Shelf localization and Brazilian Portuguese database filters were tested successfully in-game; the remaining cultures are verified offline.

            Known Limitation

            Genre names embedded directly in the original mod's checkout-help behavior remain in English. Replacing that text would require overriding a complete functional Blueprint and would increase compatibility risk.

              Uninstallation
