Installation instructions

Hey everyone, I wanted to make this short tutorial on how to convert Steam mods to Epic Games, since there are probably people who bought the game on the Epic Games Store like me, and after a little research, i found a solution to those endless loading screens caused by mod incompatibility...

First of all, you'll need Blender; it'll do nothing more than follow my steps.

You'll also need RE Tool, RE Mesh Editor, RE Chain Editor y RE Asset Library.

First, we'll find the mod we want to convert. In this case, we'll use Bunny Leon as an example, which says on its main page that it's not compatible with Epic, but that's why you're here—to learn how to convert it.

Download it to a folder where you can easily find it.

First, let's test the mod without converting it.

If you notice, the outfit doesn't load, and if you try to return to the menu, it just keeps loading. The same thing happens when you try to load a save file; it loads endlessly.

Now open Blender and install the RE Mesh Editor, RE Chain Editor, and RE Asset Library plugins you downloaded.

Once installed, click the small cross at the top and select RE Assets, then select RE Assets.

Several tabs will appear on the right; select RE Mesh, then Create Mod Workspace.

Name your mod here.

You can use the same name and add EGS to the end to differentiate it from the original mod.

Select a folder where you want to save the workspace, select the game (in this case, Resident Evil 9), leave the platform set to STM, and click OK. The folder where you'll be working with the mod will open automatically.

Do not close Blender.

Go to Mod Output, then Natives, and rename the STM folder to EGS. Now, we need to extract the .pak file from the original mod, and for that, we'll use RE Tool.

As you can see, the original mod contains a "natives" folder and a .pak file. Simply rename the "stm" folder inside "natives" and extract the .pak file as I'll show you below.
