Cut the luck out of the Prism

Overview

Every time your Prism levels up, it offers three enhancements at random. Feeding it fragments makes a stat more likely to come up, but even a Mythic fragment doesn't make it certain, so the stat you fed can still be missing. Prism Faceter fixes that: once a stat is fed in full, it is guaranteed before anything random does.

• []Fed stats come first. One Mythic fragment fills a stat's bar under ROLL CHANCES on the FRAGMENTS page. From then on, that stat gets one of the three spots at every level-up, as long as there's room and the Prism can still take it.[/]

  []More than 3 fed? 3 of them are picked at random each level-up. Closing and reopening the screen won't reroll them, just like the normal roll. Once you take one, the next level-up picks again.[/]

  []Every Legendary on a Legendary roll. Instead of three, you choose from every Legendary Bonus you could roll, sorted by name, in a row you scroll to the right.[/]

  []Everything else is untouched. Spots your fed stats don't take are filled by the normal roll, and the usual rules still apply: free slots, max levels and fusions.[/]

  You pick a card the same way as always.

  Languages

  Follows the game's language: English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Português (Brasil), Русский, 简体中文, 繁體中文. The Legendary list is sorted by name in your language.

  Settings

  Prism Faceter lives in the HUB tab of the Esc menu, next to SYSTEM, which it shares with my other mods. From there you can:

  • []switch Prism Faceter on and off (Ctrl + Alt + F)[/]

    []turn Fed Mythics first on or off[/]

    []turn Every Legendary offered on or off[/]

    Multiplayer

    Each player's Prism is separate. The mod only changes what your own level-up screen shows, and the game adds your pick as usual, so other players don't need the mod. I haven't been able to test co-op yet, as host or guest, so feedback is welcome.

    Your save

    Prism Faceter doesn't write anything to your save. It only changes which cards the level-up screen shows, and it only offers enhancements the game could have rolled at that moment. Remove it and your Prism goes back to normal rolls. Keeping a backup of your saves is still a good habit with any mod.

    Installation

    • []Install Narknon's Allow Asset Mods first.[/]

      []Extract the zip into your game folder (the one with Remnant2.exe). Make sure you extract the "Remnant2" folder from the zip, so the files end up in Remnant2\Content\Paks\LogicMods.

      []Steam: Steam\steamapps\common\Remnant2[/]

      []Epic Games: the folder Epic installed Remnant 2 into (by default under C:\Program Files\Epic Games)[/]

    []Start the game and open the Esc menu. You should see a HUB tab with Prism Faceter switched on.[/]

    Update: overwrite the files.

    Uninstall: delete the RemnantPrismFaceter files from Remnant2\Content\Paks\LogicMods. Settings are kept in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Remnant2\Saved\RemnantPrismFaceter.

      Good to know

      • []The game only tracks how much each stat has been fed, not which fragments you used. A Mythic fills the bar in one go, but enough smaller fragments of the same stat fill it too, and that counts the same.[/]

        []A stat that's at max level, already fused, or new when the Prism has no free slot can't be rolled, so it won't show up.[/]

        []If you turn the mod or a setting off, the level-up screen shows the normal roll again the next time it opens.[/]

        []Steam and Epic supported. Xbox Game Pass is not.[/]
