(NSFW) Character Visual Replacement

Mod format and installation instructions changed as of v0. 4, make sure you re-read!

Visual override mod that replaces the player's model at runtime from the list of available presets. Main version is intended for coop play. If you need the mod to be LOCAL only so that coop play is possible with non-mod users, try downloading the (Offline) version instead.

Features

• []Replace the decrepit game character design with something more palatable.
  • []Includes: Queen Marika, Melina, Artemis (SMITE), Ashley (RE4), Persephone (SMITE) as of version 0. 3
    • []Customization tailored per character, including: jiggly physics, cosmetics, sliders, and skin variations.
      • []Non-destructive. Visuals are created at runtime, therefore no overwriting or hacking of in-game models is required.
        • []Visuals are customizable per player -- i.e each player is free to pick their own customization in a multiplayer session.

          Installation

          • []Ensure you have the AllowAssetMods mod installed

            []v0. 3 users: You can delete the LogicMods/VisualAddons folder now.

            • []Download both the visual override mod (either OFFLINE or ONLINE), and its data pak files (VisualOverrideMod - DATA)

              []Simply drag and drop the Remant2 folder in both zip files into your game's root Remnant2/ folder

            • []You should end up with:

            - 3 package files (z_visualoverride_p.) in your LogicMods directory: Remnant2\Remnant2\Content\Paks\LogicMods

            - 3 package files (z_visualoverridedata_p.) in your LogicMods directory: Remnant2\Remnant2\Content\Paks\LogicMods

            - A LUA mod comprised of 2 files in: Remnant2\Remnant2\Binaries\Win64\Mods\VisualOverrideMod\Scripts

            How To Use

            • []Press the F9 (Default) key to bring up the widget.

              []Select a character from the list of presets.

              []Toggle physics on select body parts, or toggle visibility of in-game armor and equipment if needed.

              []Press the Customize buttons on a selected character's portrait to add/remove cosmetics, or edit body.

              Additionally, you can customize the keybindings by editing: Remnant2\Remnant2\Binaries\Win64\Mods\VisualOverrideMod\Scripts\visualoverridemod_keybinds.lua

              Known Issues

              • [] Be weary, I am seeing reports of a crash when playing with body slider values.

              • []Cutscenes and interaction animations completely break physics (have fun finding out how). Retoggle physics (default F8) to fix any stuck parts after the interaction OR disable physics all-together.
                • []If widget doesn't show up, ensure your keyboard is not typing with an alternate language (Alt + Shift)
                  • []We observed a one-off issue where the joining player is unable to bring up the widget regardless. A restart seems to fix it for some reason.
                    • []The mod will save/load your last setup naively. A save slot is created per character slot. But currently there is no logic handling a character slot being deleted. This means if you create a new character in that slot, you will immediately load the saved customization from the deleted character. Harmless, but just an FYI.

                      90% of the issues with this mod will stem from the player's state during the loading/joining process. So the main takeaway from this section is: if something seems off, try a rejoin or restart. That deals with most of the cases.
