This mod brings you Max Payne 3-inspired, yet authentically tuned for a western-style, "exaggerated" shot and burning reactions. The shot reactions are written from scratch and shouldn't break the immersion of RDR2.

Now completely reworked and fine-tuned to provide more variation, more cinematic and authentic moments, and to increase the immersion of shootouts.

Just like previous versions, A. R. E. P Reworked comes in multiple variants - all carefully balanced and tuned for specific outcomes and gameplay experiences.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. A Main

A reworked version of the original A. R. E. P Main. Headshot reactions can occasionally appear slightly dramatic, but head-grabbing behavior is disabled.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. B (Main with Headgrab)

Offers everything from v. A, with the addition that headshots have a chance to play out much more dramatically. NPCs may grab wounds to their head and continue walking for a few steps. In some cases, NPCs will remain on the ground longer and continue reacting to additional impacts.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. C (High Stumbling Chance)

Includes everything from v. B while adding a higher chance for extended stumbling sequences.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. D (Authentic - Realistic)

This version has been tuned with authenticity and realism in mind. It follows a GTA IV-style approach, where NPCs only actively balance themselves while they are still alive and reacting to gunshots. Once an NPC's health reaches zero, they immediately collapse into a ragdoll state. This version is intended for players who prefer authentic ragdoll behavior.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. E (Authentic - with Stumbling)

Includes everything from v. D, but adds a chance for NPCs to briefly stumble after their health has reached zero before finally collapsing.

Over the years, I noticed that many content creators have been using A. R. E. P in their videos. While all of the versions listed above can be used for content creation, it became clear that many creators prefer highly dramatic reactions. Because of that, I decided to release two dedicated versions specifically designed for this purpose.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. F Extreme Stumbling with Variation (For Content Creation)

This version is intentionally repetitive, but the chance of triggering dramatic reactions with long stumbling sequences is extremely high. The varying lengths of these stumbling sequences provide an additional layer of visual variety.

A. R. E. P Reworked v. F2 Extreme Stumbling (For Content Creation)

Offers the same experience as v. F, but without variation in stumbling duration. Depending on where an NPC is hit, they will remain on their feet for the maximum possible duration every time.
