This mod removes darkening effect in Combat and blue noisy effects from Psychoscope.

Less immersion, but more comfortable playing experience for Prey.

What this mod does:

clear view in combat

- By default, in close combat, you find too much high contrast effect applied in a view,

it results black Typhons are difficult to see in shade or dark location.

This mod removes the effect.

clear view with Psychoscope

- Default Psychoscope has a lot of visual effect, blue light, interlace, and rotating camera lens.

It reduces three-dimensional feeling and width in a view.

So I removed them, and disabled the noisy sound when you wearing it.

And I adjusted the color of light and its strength for more comfortable Psychoscope experience.

It is now "not too bright in a bright place, not too dark in a dark room".

circular flashlight

- Default flashlight is too yellow, too bright, and narrow.

So I reduced the color and the amount of light, and made its shape circular.

optional flashlight

- You can choose other shape for flashlight.

They are heart-shaped, and circle with Morgan Yu's portraits.

Yu can choose devastating beauty or devastatingly handsome.

clear view when crouch

 - Darkening vignette effect when crouching is removed.

Installation and Uninstallation:

Put "patch_UnDarken.pak" in "\STEAM\steamapps\common\Prey\GameSDK\Precache\" folder.

Or remove it.

If you use optional textures for flashlight, put .pak file to the same place above.

I have already named the files to load after UnDarken.pak. So just pick one and put them together.

Permissions:

You can use these assets for PREY(2017) only with proper credit for me(AltheaR), and Sir Kane.

But you are not allowed to upload this mod to any other site than Nexus (https://www.nexusmods.com/prey2017).

You are not allowed to use this file for any commercial usage or paid things.

More detailed file info:

\ark\VisualEffects\ArkPostEffects.xml determines which effect is applied and how it works on various conditions.

Like close combat, or scanning by Psychoscope.

ArkPostEffectParams.xml in the same folder of GameData shows you which value is used for each effect.

\libs\entityarchetypes\ArkLights.xml is a file that defines the color of lights.

\libs\GameAudio\userinterface.xml is a file that selects which music file played on each event.

"Play_Psi_Research_InScanMode" is the noisy effect sound which is played when you wear Psychoscope.

\libs\ui\textures\danielle_markers\reticle_scope_1.dds is rotating blue lens effect of Psychoscope.

\Textures\lights folder and the textures in it are the shape of FlashLight.
