📋 About This Mod

Creates resource pressure by removing loot from Talos I.

Talos I is filled with useful items. This can be great for new players, but for returning players, resource scarcity doesn’t last very long. When you check your inventory after Hardware Labs and see 17 recycler charges, you feel safe. Maybe too safe!

When Resource Pressurizer is deployed, it checks hundreds of useful items across Talos I, performs a random roll for each, and removes or reduces it if the roll succeeds. The chance for each item class can be set individually:

% chance to subtract one from a group of two or more - Neuromods

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - EMP charges

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Psi hypos

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Lure charges

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Medkits

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Nullwave charges

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Recycler charges

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Spare parts

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Suit patch kits

% chance to delete a single or decrement a stack - Weapon upgrade kits

% chance to delete a small pack or reduce a large pack by half - GLOO ammo

% chance to delete a small pack or reduce a large pack by half - Q-Beam ammo

% chance to delete a small pack or reduce a large pack by half - Pistol ammo

% chance to delete a small pack or reduce a large pack by half - Shotgun ammo

% chance to delete a small pack or reduce a large pack by half - Stun Gun ammo

Users can make additional changes to loot availability by setting the following:

% chance to lower an operator dispenser's remaining deployments

% chance to increase the hack level of a hackable door/keypad/screen

% chance to add a Medkit to an empty wall mount

% chance to fill an empty weapon with a random amount of ammo

% chance to delete an explosive tank found in normal gravity

This mod's default settings are 100% for decrementing batches of Neuromods and 50% for removing items/ammo. Defaults can be edited in Chairloader's config tab. If you only want to cull from one item category, you can set all other categories to 0% and this mod will leave them alone.

Random rolls occur on mod deployment. Level changes occur when a level is first loaded. Redeploying mods in the middle of a preythrough is not recommended, because it will cause some previously culled items to reappear in levels Morgan has already visited. (Backing up and keeping the level paks from your original deployment is one workaround.)

This mod only affects items set in Prey's level files. Many common containers like bodies, lockers, and cabinets have loot randomly generated from loot tables. Changes to loot tables can be found in Talos I House Rules.

Requires Chairloader to install. If updating to a new version gives you install errors, delete this mod's entry in \steamapps\common\Prey\Mods\config, then click 'Refresh Mod List' and redeploy.
