Phantom Mutators

Each base phantom can take on one of the following archetypes:

• []Attacks with swarms of cystoids; Excretes cystoids when damaged [/]

  []Fires twice with each psi blast; Launches bone-breaking homing shots [/]

  []Fires psi-draining homing shots; Launches fear-inducing psychic bombs [/]

  []Emits a repelling concussive blast when damaged; Casts Lift against turrets (not enabled by default)[/]

  []Excretes ether when damaged; Rapidly regenerates in ether; Spawns aggressive mimics (not enabled by default)[/]

  Phantom mutations increase in likelihood and variety as Morgan proceeds through Talos I. By Psychotronics (which is the opposite of safe) every base phantom will mutate into one of the three variants. The odds of each mutation and the parameters of their new attacks can be configured in Chairloader's config tab.

  This mod is not recommended for first-time players. By default, this mod grants mutated phantoms more aggressive AI parameters and shifting cooldowns inspired by Horror Typhons. For further challenge, use Talos I House Rules.

  Phantom Mutators owes a debt to Coyotekin's Prey For Death mod, and incorporates PFD's Cystoid Phantom with permission.

  Requires Chairloader to install. If updating to a new version gives you install errors, delete this mod's entry in \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Prey\Mods\config, reinstall it, then click 'Refresh Mod List' and redeploy.

  Mutations are randomly selected during mod deployment and take effect when a level is first loaded. With this mod installed, mind-controlled typhon will no longer attack cystoids.
