📋 About This Mod

Take an enchantment off an item, or move it to another one. Both work from the game's own Enchant window: right-click a property and pick Remove or Transfer. Costs gold, keeps every compatibility rule the game already has.

Enchantment Workshop

Enchanting in Pillars only ever adds. This lets you take back.

What it does

The game will happily sell you an enchantment and then never let go of it. Points are permanent, a mistake is permanent, and a unique property found on some mediocre sabre stays on that sabre forever. This mod adds the two operations that were missing, inside the enchanting window you already use.

No separate mod window. Inspect an item, press Enchant, then right-click an enchantment.

Enchant the rest of your gear

The game only offers the Enchant button on some items. This mod offers it on any piece of equipment your party owns — rings, belts, boots, gloves, amulets, grimoires, pet items. It stays hidden on merchant stock, on loot previews, in combat, and on a locked slot.

Recipes that carry an explicit list of allowed items also accept any item of the same equipment family, so a recipe written for one pair of boots works on other boots. It will not jump from boots to a ring.

Removal

Right-click an enchantment and choose Remove. The points come back and the property is gone.

It works on an item's built-in properties too, not just the ones you paid for — so the Fine on a unique weapon can go, and the points it was eating come back. Base weapon-type properties (BaseSword, BasePistol and the like) are excluded, because without them the item stops being a weapon. Soulbound items are excluded. Not available in combat.

Transfer

Move a property from one item to another:

  • []Right-click the enchantment on the donor and choose Transfer. Nothing changes yet.

[]Open the recipient's enchanting window and pick the Transfer category on the left.

[]The panel on the right shows donor, recipient, points before and after, and the price.

[]Press Transfer. The property leaves the donor and lands on the recipient.

This is the only way to get a unique property onto a weapon you actually want to use: the mod deliberately does not invent recipes for unique enchantments, so the property has to come off a real item that already has it.

Every rule the game already enforces stays in place. The button refuses an incompatible item type, a duplicate, an occupied category, too few points or too little gold. Compatibility comes from the property's own recipe when it has one, and from the donor's equipment family when it does not. Ability use counters travel with the property.

    Price

    • []Remove — points × 500

      []Transfer — points × 1000

Doubled for a two-handed item, the same way the game doubles its own enchanting costs. Crafting from existing recipes is untouched: normal gold, normal ingredients.

      With Dual Shields

If Dual Shields is installed with its rework enabled, the Workshop picks up its shield rules: the 18-point shield budget, its pricing, and tier replacement for Bashing and quality. The link is optional and one-way — without Dual Shields the Workshop behaves normally.

      Compatibility

      • []Pillars of Eternity 3. 9.x, Unity Mod Manager 0. 33, Harmony 2. 2. 2.

[]No game files are replaced. Changes are stored by the game's own save mechanism.

[]Keep the mod installed: removing a built-in property only survives a reload while the mod is there to remember it.

[]Conflicts with Remove Enchantments — both hook the same menu. Use one or the other.

      • Soulbound items are excluded.
