What it does

A lower rank Module that is in your inventory can be used as a material discount for a higher rank Module. The lower rank Module is consumed in the process. Technologies are still necessary to unlock the upgrades, and you must own the lower rank Module for the upgrade recipe to be displayed, otherwise it'll be hidden just like how Schematics works.

🔹 Recipes are unlocked by the existing Module recipes from the Technology Tree.

🔹 Heavy Weight Module can be upgraded to Curve Module or Sniper Module.

🔹 Curve Module can be upgraded to Slider Module or Sniper Module.

🔹 Slider Module can be upgraded to Sniper Module II or Homing Module.

🔹 Sniper Module can be upgraded to Sniper Module II or Homing Module.

🔹 Sniper Module II can be upgraded to Homing Module.

Installation

🔹 Install UE4SS for PalSchema (UE4SS-Palworld.zip) and PalSchema, following the official installation guide. Skip this if you already have them.

🔹 Open the downloaded .zip and copy the ZZZ_MelwenMods folder into your PalSchema mods folder:

Mod Managers

🔹 Vortex can install this mod, but it doesn't always place PalSchema mods in the right folder. Check that it landed next to your other PalSchema mods, and move it there if it didn't.

🔹 Install UE4SS yourself even if you use Vortex. The one it installs by default can be a different build that crashes the game on launch.

🔹 Steam Workshop: subscribe to PalSchema and launch the game once, then add this mod by hand using the Workshop path above. It's only on Nexus.

Dedicated Servers

🔹 Same steps on the server, with PalServer in place of Palworld:

🔹 Every player needs this mod too, on the same version as the server.

🔹 PalSchema requires the Windows server build. It doesn't run on a native Linux server.

Troubleshooting

🔹 Check if PalSchema is updated and properly installed.

🔹 Check if UE4SS is updated and properly installed.

🔹 Directories can be different depending on your version of the game (Game Pass or Steam), or depending on your Mod Manager (Steam Workshop or Vortex).

🔹 On Linux or Steam Deck, folder names are case-sensitive. Match the capitalization above exactly, so the mod goes inside PalSchema's existing lowercase mods folder.
