Stealth Kill Animation

Sneak up behind someone, line yourself up reasonably well,  perform a power attack, and if the target is eligible and within your current damage threshold, the normal strike will be replaced by the takedown animation.

There is a bit of jank, because this animation is taken from the Mythic Dawn Assassination at the start of the game.

For the animation to trigger, you need to:

• []Be sneaking. [/]

  []Have a dagger equipped. [/]

  []Be positioned behind the target. [/]

  []Perform a genuine power attack. [/]

  []Attack a living, non-essential humanoid. [/]

  []Deal enough calculated damage for the target to qualify for an execution. [/]

If those conditions are not met, the attack behaves normally.

It calculates an assassination threshold based on your actual physical damage and the bonuses that apply to the attack.

For example, with my current setup:

• []Dagger damage: approximately 17 [/]

  []Power attack multiplier: ×3 [/]

  []Sneak attack multiplier: ×8 [/]

  []Difficulty modifier: ×3. 5 [/]

Power and Sneak overlap, so internally the attack bonus is calculated as:

3 + 8 - 1 = ×10

17. 36 × 10 × 3. 5 = approximately 608 damage

That means an enemy with around 608 HP or less can currently qualify for the takedown with that setup.

The mod also keeps a simpler fallback threshold of:

Displayed dagger damage × 15

So a 17-damage dagger gives a fallback threshold of:

17 × 15 = 255 HP

Whichever threshold is higher is used.

Armour is ignored when determining whether the target qualifies for the animation.
