Basin of Renewal Crash Fix

This was driving me crazy. You will fight 22 times in the arena as you work your way to Grand Champion, and each of these times, activating the Basin of Renewal has the chance of having you crash. I've crashed 5 times already in an unmodded game and I've had enough. I'm not alone either... Here, here, here, here... Urgh.

This mod simply reduces the Area of Effect radius of the spell so that only the player (and immediate surroundings) gets the washing effect. For whatever reason, the game did not like that all the NPCs in the building gets the effect at the same time, and also it makes little sense why everyone else in the room also gets healed when I clean up, so there we go.

Safe to install mid-game. Mod also forwards UORPs changes to the basin (although UORP is not required).

Just like any other Oblivion Remastered mod.

If using a modding tool, just install as normal. Otherwise:

1 - Download the mod, open the zip file and and put the .esp file inside OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data.

2 - Then add the name of the esp (BasinOfRenewalCrashFix.esp) at the bottom of your plugins.txt file for Oblivion, in the same folder mentioned above.

In my case it seems pretty random if I crash or not while using the basin. Based on the existing reports, it's probably connected to your hardware configuration and graphics settings, but it's hard to say. In my case, I'd say the chances of crashing were about 25% upon activating the basin, and now I haven't crashed at all after installing the mod. In any case, there should be no downsides to installing this mod as it literally just edits one small spell record.

Bonus: You might also decide to use this mod if you dislike healing the entire room whenever you use the Basin of Renewal. Immersion restored!
