Simple Dog Follower - Clancy

- Clancy, your new best friend.

Meeko, Dogmeat, DD... Every big RPG adventure needs a doggo to take along in your adventures. Clancy is not super strong, but he can provide some needed company while exploring the Imperial province.

I've made this mod quite simple, given the current modding limitations of Oblivion Remastered, but at the same time it does have a couple of nice features:

• []Activating Clancy will make him follow you. Activating him again will make Clancy wait for you.

  []Each of these activations comes with a short animation from your character and a short message in the corner.

  []If you fast travel somewhere while Clancy is following you, he will appear next to you, same as a horse.

  []Clancy will not die if his health reaches 0, only pass out.

  []The late owner of Clancy has a note giving some context on Clancy's life before you meet him.

  []Clancy can be found near the ruins of Ceyatatar, behind the Clavicus Vile shrine.

  []Clancy will generally forgive you if you hit him by mistake, but he might get angry if you hit him many times. (Please, don't). As a failsafe, I've made it so he will chill again if you activate him.

  []Clancy will not attack "neutral" parties, only enemies. If you start combat with an innocent, he will not help you in that combat (but won't attack you either).

• After meeting Clancy, he can be summoned at any point by dropping his favorite bone from your inventory (Shift + Click on bone). If you lose the bone, talking to Clancy will give you a new one.

  Yes.

  >How do I install the mod?

  If using a modding tool, just install as normal. Otherwise:

  1 - Download the mod, open the zip file and and put the .esp file inside OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data.

  2 - Then add the name of the esp (ClancyTheDog.esp) at the bottom of your plugins.txt file for Oblivion, in the same folder mentioned above.
