📋 About This Mod
The list with the HUD icons for the active effects is managed by the backend (the old Oblivion engine), which signals the UI (Unreal engine) when icons are added or removed, and also frequently notifies it about the time left for existing icons. The UI maintains its own parallel list, which is supposed to mirror the one from the backend, but in practice sometimes the two lists fall out of sync and this causes various glitches, especially because the icons are identified by their index in the list. For example, the backend may think that the second icon is for Shield effect, while the UI may not have the icon, or may have it for Fortify Health. Or the UI may have icons that the backend doesn't, so they remain stuck on HUD for a while, without being updated.
