📋 About This Mod
Vanilla Hair Replacer, by throttlekitty This is a simple mod: It replaces the default hair texture for most of Oblivion\'s hairstyles with one of my own making. This is simply to offer variety to anyone wishing it, that\'s all :) This retexture is hand painted, rather than a photograph, and I am quite pleased with the result, I hope that you are too. To use it, unpack the four .dds images to ...\\Oblivion\\data\\textures\\characters\\hair And you\'re ready to go, no .esp or .nif altering needed! If you are using any other mods that alter the hair textures, you may wish to create a backup of those first, should you find this mod not to your liking. To remove this mod, simply remove grey.dds, grey_hh.dds, grey_hl.dds, and grey_n.dds to return to using the hair provided by Bethesda, or replace them with textures from another hair mod. Enjoy :)
Vanilla Hair Replacer by throttlekitty swaps the default hair textures for most Oblivion hairstyles with a custom texture, offering a simple visual variety. With 1,749 endorsements and 132,090 downloads, it's a popular cosmetic tweak for players wanting a fresh look without gameplay changes.

💡 Beginner Tips
- Extract the files to your Oblivion Data folder, overwriting when prompted—no mod manager needed.
- If you use other hair texture mods, install this one last to ensure it takes priority.
- Check the mod's compatibility with any hair mesh replacers you have, as texture-only changes may not match custom meshes.
