Hide Helms

Requires: OBSE 0014a Official Forums Thread I tend to play female characters, and I\'ve always been annoyed with the way head items hide the character\'s hair. Recently I stopped equipping those items at all, but then I\'m down an enchantment slot, so I decided to create this instead. It\'s very simple: when you equip a helm the helm will show up briefly and then disappear from view. It will still show up as equipped in the inventory screen, but the name will now be followed by the word: (hidden). It can then be uneqipped as normal. You can also just equip another helm while your current helm is equipped and the script will handle that too. There are some minor nuances, so make sure to read the known issues section in the readme. Configuration: There are two options you can change. The first is to simply turn off helm hiding. You do this by holding down the H key while equipping a helm/hood/whatever. A message will popup saying hiding has been turned off. To turn it back on simply do the same thing. The other option is Show-in-Combat. I figured some people might not find it \'realistic\' enough to be running around without their helm visible, but still getting the bonus effects, so I made this option. With it active, whenever the player is in combat the helm will be shown, and it will be hidden again when combat ends. You will know it is working when you hear the familiar equip/unequip sound. To toggle it on/off, hold down the C key while equipping a helm/hood/whatever until the message pops up.
