📋 About This Mod

Grip of Steel ✊💪🔩 - No Player Disarm

WHY! WONT! YOU! DIE!

- the last thing you hear before your weapon clips under the floor

We've all been there: you are in the heat of battle, and then, suddenly, your beloved enchanted warhammer flies away. If you are lucky, it lands at your feet. If not, you spend the next minute frantically looking around while dodging attacks of 20 furious Cheydinhal Guards. Worst case, it falls through the ground never to be seen again. Not immersive.

This mod fixes that. Nobody can knock the weapon out of the strong and sexy hands of the Hero of Kvatch anymore. And it doesn't affect your Blade/Shield mastery -- you still can disarm your opponents just as before (that's the main difference to the existing mods). Plus, NPCs can still disarm each other (at least theoretically, don't remember ever seeing this in practice).

Requirements

The mod is an OBSE dll, so OBSE is required.

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Player can still disarm NPCs as normal.
Simple gameplay effect with no additional changes.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Directly removes a frustrating mechanic without altering other combat systems.
  • Small file size and simple install—just drop in and play.
  • Active mod with recent update (August 2024) and 39 endorsements from a niche audience.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only affects player disarm; NPCs can still disarm each other, which may break immersion for some.
  • Limited to this one change—if you want broader combat tweaks, look elsewhere.
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who hate losing their weapon mid-fight and want a quick fix without overhauling combat. Skip if you're looking for more comprehensive gameplay changes or if you enjoy the challenge of disarm mechanics.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place the mod files in your game's Data folder or use a mod manager if available.
  • Check if your game version is compatible—last updated in 2024, so it should work with recent patches.
  • If you're using other combat mods, test for conflicts by loading a save and fighting an enemy with disarm perks.
