📋 About This Mod
Simplistic XP-based leveling overhaul.
Description
XP-based leveling overhaul with minimalistic design. Completely disables vanilla level-by-usage system. Mod closely resembles the system from Fallout games.
Leveling Up
Gain XP to level up and receive, by default, 6 Attribute Points and 12 Skill Points. Points are not distributed at level-up screen, but rather on character screen at any time. Number of points can be configured.
Level up screen appears instantly when not in combat, sleeping is not required.
XP Sources
The following actions award XP:
- Completing Quests (50-1000 XP, most quests in 200-500 XP range)
- Killing Enemies (formula based on enemy and player level, generally in 1-50 XP range)
- Closing Oblivion Gates (250 XP)
- Discovering Locations (15 XP)
- Picking Locks (5-25 XP)
Class Skills
There is no more division on "major" and "minor" skills, all skills on character screen are displayed in a single list. Class skills get a starting bonus, and that's it.
X-Skills Support
Any mods using MenuQue's X-Skills feature to add new functional skills are compatible.
Level Cap
By default, max level is 30. Configurable.
Skill Caps
Skills can't be increased higher than their governing attribute + racial bonus. Configurable.
Derived Attributes (Optional)
Health only depends on Endurance, with no free bonus from level. Formula is non-linear, with "soft caps" on 100 and 125 Endurance.
Magicka also follows a non-linear formula from Intelligence. It is the same one as in Av Latta Magicka, so there's no conflict between mods.
Derived values are updated in real time, as you put points into attributes.
Configuration
Most features can be customized using LINK menu.
Unintrusive
Can be installed on existing character, no stats would be changed, you simply start gaining XP for next level.
Does not alter how trainers or skill books work.
Compatibility
Goes without saying that this won't be compatible with any other leveling mods.
Compatible with mods adding new content. XP from unrecognized quests is approximated using the number of quest stages (assuming longer quests give more XP), with hard cap.
