📋 About This Mod
When a piece of apparel is enchanted, the Magnitude of the enchantment is multiplied by the slot count it requires. Example, 50 Magicka on a robe becomes 100 Magicka. Boxow likes this.
Description
Boxow was incredibly distraught to discover that he cannot enchant robes with two enchantments, despite robes taking both the upper body and lower body slots. Boxow wonders why he would ever wear them? So he fixes with a simple script. Now when a piece of apparel that requires more than one slot is enchanted, the Magnitude of that enchantment is multiplied by the slots it requires. This works with any enchantment effect (Fortify, Shield, etc) when made at the Enchantment Altar or with Sigil Stones. This does not alter vanilla balance at all, it just lets you use a Robe/Outfit instead of a Shirt and Pants if you are trying to maximize enchantment slots. Boxow is happy to now have magic robes.
Installation instructions
Install like any other .esp file.
If using NorthernUI (not NUIAway), enable the setting to properly handle UI injection in the ini.
MenuQue is NOT required if you do not want the menu injection, the mod will still work as expected, but no Magnitude Modifier will be displayed in the enchantment menu.
Main features
- Simple enchantment magnitude adjustment that works with any clothes/armor that take up slots 18, 19, 20, 21, 22. OBSE Docs here.
- Works with outfits that take up more than just 2 slots as well, some in the game take 4! This will correctly apply a 4x magnitude increase for those enchantments, making them viable options.
- Works only with player enchantments from the Enchantment Altar, and Sigil Stones.
- No janky menus, no message spam, nothing special required. It just works when you enchant an item.
- Does not change vanilla balance at all. It just lets you use a Robe instead of a Shirt and Pants if you want to maximize enchantment slots.
- Does nothing else, Boxow does not like complicated things.
Known Issues
- None. If you find any, please report them to Boxow and they will be looked at!
Other Information
- This only works for enchantments made after the mod is installed. Uninstalling the mod will not revert the Magnitude alterations if the save file you're loading has these changes present, as it modifies the object's Clone Form.
- The increased Magnitude is not shown in the enchanting menu when selecting your enchantment. However with the new version the "Magnitude Modifier" is! Multiply the math yourself if you want to know the exact result. This was done to ensure the clearest representation of the information. (MenuQue is only required if you want to inject the magnitude modifier into the UI. The mod works without it, there will just be no UI changes.)
