📋 About This Mod
This is a simple modification of Syclonix\'s At Home Alchemy 1. 1. All credit goes to Syclonix for the creation of this mod, I have simply made a minor change. The updated \"No Bounty\" version included with this archive removes all ownership checks when attempting to activate a free-standing piece of alchemy. I thought it was a bit ridiculous that activating a piece of alchemical equipment in the middle of an abandoned Ayleid ruin, an empty shop, a friendly guild, Cloudtop Temple and occasionally even my own house resulted in a crime. Now no ownership checks at all are performed during activation. Use responsibly. You will of course still commit a crime per vanilla rules if you pick up the apparatus and place it within your inventory. Thanks to Syclonix for making this great mod and sharing it with the rest of us. NOTE: Do not use this version and Syclonix\'s original version at the same time. Update 6-27-08: Version 2. 0 removes extraneous scripts which had been stored with the previous 1. 1 release.
This is a simple patch for Syclonix's At Home Alchemy mod, removing ownership checks so you can use any free-standing alchemy station without getting a bounty. It's a small, niche fix for Oblivion players who want to brew potions anywhere without legal trouble. Last updated in 2008, it's an old but functional tweak.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Does exactly what it says: no more bounties for using someone else's alchemy gear
- Tiny mod with a dedicated following (234 endorsements) for a niche fix
- Works with the popular At Home Alchemy mod, so it's a natural add-on
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008 — likely outdated for current Oblivion versions and may conflict with newer mods
- Only affects free-standing alchemy stations; doesn't change other ownership mechanics
- Requires the original At Home Alchemy mod, which isn't included here
For Oblivion players who use At Home Alchemy and hate getting bounties for using alchemy stations in shops or homes. Skip if you don't use that mod or want broader gameplay changes.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the original At Home Alchemy mod installed first, then overwrite its files with this patch.
- Since this mod is from 2008, check if your Oblivion version is compatible; if you use a mod manager, load this after the original.
- If you're using Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE), test in a saved game to ensure no conflicts with other ownership mods.
