📋 About This Mod
This is a short questline in which you help Branwen and Owyn reconcile. It also makes some small changes to the Arena Bloodworks and adds another Bloodworks for the Yellow Team, even if you choose not to engage in the questline.
Overview:
I'm not sure why I felt inspired to write this, it's different from my usual faction mods, but I wanted to write a short questline in which you help Branwen and Owyn reconcile. This is of course based on that screwed up note you find on the floor next to Owyn. Over the course of nine short quests, you help Branwen join and compete in the Arena as she tries to win the respect of her estranged father, Owyn.
This questline has a few pre-requisits:
-
[]You must be the Grand Champion;
[
]Branwen and her training partner Saliith must be alive; - You must have the screwed up Letter from Branwen on your person.
You must then talk to Owyn to start the questline (the note is useless after that initial conversation so keep it or throw it away as you like). The questline can be cut short by Branwen dying in the Arena, but the quests handle this outcome at each step (it just might not be as satisfactory-an-ending than the "true" ending). I have, however, given Branwen a bit of a boost so she is less likely to lose, but it can still happen.
You cannot have Branwen's matches take place if your Grand Champion weekly matches are taking place, nor vice versa, and you cannot start Branwen's matches if you have started a match as a spectator that you're betting on via Hundolin, although you can bet on Branwen's matches if you talk to him before entering the spectator stands (if you wish; you can also choose not to bet).
Arena Changes:
I have made some changes to the Arena. Even if you don't start the questline, these changes exist if the mod is loaded. In short, the Bloodworks cell has been renamed to the Blue Team Bloodworks, and the Yellow Team have their own Bloodworks now (accessible from the outside of the Arena at the opposite side to the front entrance where the Blue Team's Bloodworks are). The Yellow Team's Bloodworks is pretty much identical but they have their own Blademaster (hence I'm adjusting the lore here slightly).
I've also created the additional "rule" that Blue and Yellow Team Champions (and the Grand Champion) are allowed to visit each other's Bloodworks, but ranks below that are not (hence the Yellow Team Bloodworks will be locked for the player until they reach Champion rank). Naturally, as a Blue Team Champion, you're not made to feel welcome in there...
Additional Credits:
As before, thanks to BowmoreLover for the "Lazy Voice Finder", it's so useful for finding voice clips.
Installation:
I have two .zip files; one called "Main", which contains the files you need for the mod, and an optional one called "Silence". Both of my .zip files contain a Data folder, the contents of which should be dropped into the Data folder of your game's installition directory.
