If you see -MBINCompiler(number x) in version, it means recompile (using x version of MBINCompiler) to maintain version support of the game, has no changelogs to the script or introducing any new changes. -Bugfix said as it is, a bugfix for current version of the game and -rec is recompile with same MBinCompiler but with different game data. Before you complaint, always make sure your mod is up to date, even with bugfixes. My mods "always" targets latest experimental branch (latest version of MBINcompiler), so keep that in mind and keep updating your game.

Originally was inspirated by this mod: BuyNanites. However the nanite price weren't changed, results in 33 unit per nanites. That made me started this mod in the first place, as well as adding salvaged data and frigate modules to shop.

Nanites: 1275 units each (Converted from nexus's reward calculations in 2020: 440k unit vs 350 nanites, approximately 1274,9 rounded up to 1275). Flat price (no supply vs demand)

Salvaged data/frigate modules: should be in same price and with supply vs demand still applied.

After several days, I decided to improve this mod further to be more "in depth" in realistic manner. Inspirated by GExo's Epic Challenge (ExoSolar & Gumsk), with the help of Gumsk, overhaul and changes how trading works. The concept are price being static in price, where demands and supply are first set, then you can only buy and sell in that price, until it refreshes. No more selling 9999 item to a shop and rebuy with much cheaper price. The method is by freezing the price, so the first price shown after calculating demand is what you see.

Heavily reduce buying markup (buying fee) by station from 25% to 10% or even 0% depends on what version you choose, making trader life more "realistic" and "profitable".

Also raises fleet module selling price so it worth the effort.

Approximate (depend on demands):

C = 1000 nanites

B = 2500 nanites

A = 5000 nanites

S = 10000 nanites

Split into 2 PAK for choices

Main PAK: The trading logic, trading prices, freeze price.

Everything (except for the listing changes) is here, from the prices, seller's fee, even the prices of items. Though I don't change any prices other than items I mention above, it still handle few things, including those that listed in Addon PAK.

Changes, and doesn't compatible with mods that alters:

METADATA/REALITY/TABLES/NMS_REALITY_GCSUBSTANCETABLE. MBIN (changes nanites price, substances price, substances markups)

METADATA/REALITY/TABLES/NMS_REALITY_GCPRODUCTTABLE. MBIN (changes products price, products markup price)

METADATA/REALITY/TABLES/TRADINGCLASSDATATABLE. MBIN (heavily tweaked market trading and fix market manipulation by freezing the price)

Addon PAK (optional): Listings

Forces Nanites, Salvaged Data, Salvaged Freighter Modules, warp hypercores, and S-Class Salvaged Fleet Modules to be listed on shop (prices depends on Main PAK). Ship Modules that offered from shops are S class. If not specified (not using Main PAK), then the prices uses in game's pricing (so this mod only list them, not to sell it "cheaply" to you).

However, if you buy S class fleet modules with addons, those cost 10x of the selling price, effectively make it 100k nanites (127. 500. 000 unit after conversion). Maybe it's better than going RNG direlict? your call. Also shows only S class modules on shop.

Edit: Looks like they patched the Direlict freighter upgrades. If you bought it, it maybe cannot be applied because the name goes error. Buy with your own risk.

Changes, and doesn't compatible with mods that alters:

METADATA/REALITY/DEFAULTREALITY. MBIN (changes new items being put, number of items, etc). To avoid misunderstanding: Addon ONLY list them. Price and logics handled in main.

Recommended mods to pair this with:

Balanced Ships (ChristianWidjaya,1800PETMEDS): balanced ships classes and ship class odds

Realistic Space (ChristianWidjaya,1800PETMEDS): Heavily overhaul space experience to be closer to realistic, notably the space flight mechanic

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Realistic Market overhauls No Man's Sky trading by setting nanites to a flat 1275 units each, adding salvaged data and frigate modules to shops, and freezing prices so supply/demand only affects the initial quote. It also reduces station buying markup from 25% to 10% or 0% depending on version, making trading more profitable. Targets latest experimental branch.

✨ Key Features

Nanites priced at 1275 units each, flat rate with no supply/demand fluctuation
Adds salvaged data and frigate modules to shop inventory
Freezes prices after initial demand calculation, preventing buy-low-sell-high exploits
Reduces station buying markup from 25% to 10% or 0% depending on chosen version
Inspired by BuyNanites and GExo's Epic Challenge mods
Requires MBINCompiler recompiles to maintain game version support

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-trusted with 329 endorsements and over 24k downloads
  • Makes trading more realistic and profitable by cutting station fees significantly
  • Actively maintained—last updated June 2026, targeting latest experimental branch

⚠️ Cons

  • Always targets experimental branch, so you must keep your game updated or risk breakage
  • Version naming with MBINCompiler numbers can be confusing for casual users
  • No detailed changelog for recompiles—only bugfixes or recompiles are noted
🎯 Is This For You?
For No Man's Sky traders who want a more realistic economy and hate the exploit of selling and rebuying at lower prices. Also for players who want to buy nanites, salvaged data, and frigate modules directly instead of grinding. Skip if you prefer the vanilla trading system or don't want to deal with experimental branch updates.
