📋 About This Mod

⚠️ Replacement mod - unlikely to work well with other Replacement mods

Get true colors and better lighting for ships on landing pads. Improves the lighting on landing pads in the freighter, space stations, Nexus Anomaly, and bases by making lighting pure white, increasing brightness, and adding an overhead light where needed. Now split between 6 files so you can mix and match. This mod is for the landing pads in newer space stations. An optional file is included for the space station ambience lights; this decreases variety in the game but makes space station landing pads a tiny bit more accurate (I don't really recommend it).

Use Vortex or manually put the entire contents of the zip file in your GAMEDATA\MODS folder, not PCBANKS, similar to this:

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 202 endorsements and over 11k downloads
  • Recently updated (June 2026) — likely compatible with current game version
  • Simple visual improvement that enhances color accuracy and visibility

⚠️ Cons

  • Purely cosmetic — no gameplay changes, so if you want functional mods, skip this
  • Only affects landing pads — if you wanted ship lighting elsewhere, this won't help
🎯 Is This For You?
For No Man's Sky players who spend time in freighters, space stations, or bases and want better visibility when landing. If you're tired of dull or tinted lighting on your ship, this is a quick fix. Skip if you're looking for gameplay overhauls — this is purely visual.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since the mod is a simple file drop, place the .pak file in the GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/MODS folder — create the MODS folder if it doesn't exist.
  • If you're using a mod manager like Vortex, you can install it there, but manual placement works fine.
  • After installing, launch the game and check a landing pad to see the difference — if it doesn't work, ensure you haven't left a DISABLEMODS.txt file in the PCBANKS folder.
