Requested by:
Sydney is a character the lone wanderer will meet in the national archives while undertaking a mission to find the declaration of independence. If they team up, both can work together to find the document and return it to Rivet City.
Sydney is probably one of the most widely requested followers I've had to date as well as online in general reddit posts where they ask about who should have been companions in Fallout games.
This mod adds Sydney as a fully functional companion. She can be found in the Underground Bar.
This follower was built using my Blank Slate Companion template: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/86386
This is a new mod. it is not a port or conversion of any other mods.
The follower is feature complete and no further updates are planned unless I find something that needs fixing. Enjoy!
MOD FEATURES
- She will follow the player just like a normal companion anywhere you go.
- She can wait, be dismissed (Including to L38), traded with and have her tactics be changed. Her companion wheel is also working.
- She has a companion perk which gives + 50 carrying capacity.
- She has Idle Chatter tied to a timer so you should expect a line once every 20 minutes.

A patch for this follower is included in that mod's optional files. Get that if you want to use that mod with this one.
I have also released a standalone Mannequin race editor for the companion. Refer to main files. Only download one main file.
ISSUES ENCOUNTERED
If you have any issues with the mod, such as, Sydney not following or she follows but keeps returning to the Underworld bar, it may be worth moving the plugin down to the last point in your load order.

💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have TTW 3.3.X installed and running before adding this mod—it won't work on older versions.
- If you use JIP CCC, grab the optional file to customize Sydney's appearance; otherwise, the base mod works fine.
- After installing, load your save and head to the Underworld Bar in the History Museum—she'll be there after you finish 'Stealing Independence'.
