Description:

Russell features an in-depth, fully-voiced, lore-friendly, male companion designed to enrich the player's experiences in the Mojave Wasteland. He is a former Desert Ranger who has turned to bounty hunting, and can be recruited at the 188 Trading Post.

Russell includes roughly 1,200 lines of fully-voiced dialogue (as of version 1. 0), all contributed by fellow community members. Should you meet any of these talented individuals in the forums, please thank them for their efforts!

Installation:

Extract the contents of the data folder from the archive into your New Vegas data folder. Ensure you have the Someguyseries.esm in your load order and activated.

Getting Started:

Simply speak with Russell, who is waiting at the 188 Trading Post. Ask about teaming up to pursue the bounty on Glanton, and he will join your party.

As always, I encourage feedback. I will always heed cogent critiques and thoughtful commentary. However, mindless vitriol will be ignored. Please remember to endorse the mod if you enjoyed it!

A Warning:

Russell features more profanity than any mod I've made, and that's saying something. In the main quest, the player will also bear witness to the aftermath of massacres; these are more graphic than just about anything in the vanilla game. This is an adult mod, so if you are easily offended, it's best to steer clear of Russell.

About Factions:

Russell may be recruited by Legion-friendly players, but heed this warning: he will attack any Legion personnel on sight, much like Boone. If you're invested in a Legion-friendly playthrough, this mod might not be a good fit for you.

The Someguyseries.esm:

While New Vegas Bounties (I & II) are not required to play Russell, using the latest versions will enrich your experience with Russell. He will comment on specific bounties and locations as you progress through those mods, and unique dialogue options will also be available.

Difficulty:

Russell features a new quest "Hunter, Hunted" that should not be attempted until the player is level 20 or higher.

Balancing:

Russell is comparable to Boone or Raul Tejada in terms of stats, though he's probably a touch tougher. He specializes in ranged and melee combat.

"Evolving" Dungeons:

Due to the popularity of this feature, I have included it in the mod. Several of the dungeons will change over time as the player interacts with the inhabitants.

Companions:

This mod is fully navmeshed, and should support companions, with one exception - the ending slideshow. Before leaving
