📋 About This Mod
When it comes to the two Morrowind Expansions, several players consider Tribunal to be inferior to Bloodmoon. The biggest point of contention is the ruins of Old Mournhold, which while vast, are empty with nothing to justify it's large size. Considering that most players dread starting the expansion due to the slog of quests that send you there, it's no wonder some players forgo it entirely.
I wanted to make the ruins much more interesting and fun to explore. This can be from adding more clutter and loot to previously empty areas, to replacing others entirely.
Features:
Much more detailing and cluttering in several cells. Most of these are scaffolds and tents to make the area appear more like a city underneath a city.
Complete Rework of the Goblin Areas. I really didn't like how confusing and bland these areas were since it was nothing more than just connected mold caves. Now not only are they much more grand, but the cell names actually make sense.
Larger use of the Dwemer Satchel Charges. I found it odd that the charges used in Bamz-Amschend were only used once. So I decided to make a greater use of them. As you explore the ruins, you will come across more of the collapsed rocks, which can only be removed using the satchel. As such, more of them have been added to Bamz-Amschend. Encouraging you to revisit locations.
An additional Objective to get to the weather machine. In vanilla, it's kind of just there. Now there are new objectives for you to accomplish before you can turn it on. (If you played Astrologists Guild, you know what to expect) New chambers have also been added which makes the machine feel much more massive.
Enhanced Dark Brotherhood HQ. There are now additional buildings with more loot for you to take.
Three cells are now Ancestral tombs. This helps them stand apparat from the rest of the ruins, and makes more sense as well as they are described as tombs.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 164 endorsements and over 15k downloads.
- Targets a specific area that many players find dated, giving it a clear purpose.
- Recently updated (Nov 2025), so it's likely compatible with current Morrowind setups.
⚠️ Cons
- Only covers Old Mournhold and the ruins beneath—if you wanted other Tribunal areas overhauled, this won't help.
For Morrowind players who've explored Mournhold and its ruins countless times and want a fresh visual and layout overhaul. Also for lore enthusiasts who enjoy exploring Dwemer and Daedric architecture. Skip if you're looking for new quests or gameplay mechanics—this is purely a location overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips

- Use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2 to keep track of your load order and avoid conflicts with other location overhauls.
- Check the mod's comments section on the Nexus for any user-reported issues or load order advice before installing.
