Dynamic Scaling: Damage scales dynamically based on weapon skills (Short Blade, Long Blade, Axe, etc.).
Full Customization: Separate toggles and scaling sliders for Player and NPCs.
MCM Menu: Fully configurable in-game via OpenMW's native settings menu.
The formula of the damage multiplier is 0. 5 (base) + 0. 01 x Skill. Meaning if you have Short Blade (20), the multiplier is 0. 5 + (20x0. 01) = 0. 50 + 0. 20 = x0. 7. You will deal only 70% damage compare to vanilla in that case. But with Short Blade (80), it goes 0. 5 + (80x0. 01) = 0. 5 + 0. 8 = x1. 3. You will deal 130% damage compare to vanilla.
You can choose the base and also the skill multiplier in the menu. You can lower the first and increase the second to make weapon skills really matter for example. I'm personally comfortable with 0. 5 and 0. 015, which double my damage when I get to Short Blade (100) for example.
To get a balanced and vanilla outcome, I recommend choosing base 0. 5 and 0. 005 multiplier. It will give you the full 100% damage only at 100 skill, like it was intended in the vanilla formula.
Installation instructions
1. Unzip the downloaded file to your preferred location (e.g., your OpenMW mods folder).
2. Open the OpenMW Launcher, navigate to the Data Files tab, and add the path to the extracted folder under Data Directories.
3. In the Data Files list, enable true_strike.omwaddon and true_strike.omwscripts.
4. (Optional): Launch the game and adjust settings anytime via the Scripts / True Strike section in the OpenMW options menu.
