📋 About This Mod
Whenever you enchant a piece of equipment, this mod automatically renames it to mark it as your own work, prefixing the item's name with your character's name.
Description
Whenever you enchant a piece of equipment (weapon, armor, clothing, ring, or
amulet), this mod automatically renames it to mark it as your own work,
prefixing the item's name with your character's name in possessive form.
-
[]"Iron Sword" (character "Gary") -> "Gary's Iron Sword"[/]
[]"Iron Sword" (character "Eremes") -> "Eremes' Iron Sword"[/]
To exclude a specific item from being signed, prefix its name with `!` before
enchanting it (e.g. rename it to "!Iron Sword"). The mod will strip the `!`
and leave the rest of the name as-is, without adding your name.
Compatibility
-
[]Requires OpenMW 0. 49+ (Lua scripting).[/]
[]No ESM/ESP changes; pure Lua, safe to add/remove mid-save.[/]
[]Plays well with the Disenchanting mod's "Enchant Capacity Fix":
If that setting is enabled, Signature Enchanting waits for it to finish before
renaming, so the two mods don't race on the same freshly-enchanted item.[/]
Installation
-
[]Add the mod folder as a data directory in openmw.cfg:
data=<path to>/SignatureEnchanting[/
][]Enable the content file by adding:
content=SignatureEnchanting.omwscripts[/]
-
[](OpenMW Launcher) Alternatively, add the folder via the Data Directories[/]
[]Tick `SignatureEnchanting.omwscripts` in the Content Files list.[/]
No load order requirements.

used to detect freshly-enchanted items is adapted from it.[/
