📋 About This Mod
Intro
The goal of this mod was to change the appearance of the vanilla, Morrowind's imperial forts in order to bring them closer to the latter Elder Scrolls games. The greenish walls are now more realistic and close to European forts and castles.
My main source of inspiration, besides real European castle walls, was Skyrim imperial forts and Skywind video showcases.
This retexture will replace the vanilla textures for imperial forts (tx_imp_*.dds), so you will see the changes on Vvardenfell as well as Morrowind Main land. Imperial forts from other projects like Project Cyrodiil are not touched at the moment, since they use different textures.
Future Steps
Not every fort texture was replaced, so i will probably finish them in the future.
This mod will probably be merged with Beautiful Textures of Tamriel at some point and a version of this mod will be ported to Project Cyrodiil imperial forts (maybe with some changes, like reduced wall moss).
Installation
Install as usual, but make sure you don't have other imperial forts texture mods that add normal height maps (files with _nh.dds), otherwise those will be used instead of the correct normal maps (_n.dds) provided by this mod. This is true at least with OpenMW. Alternatively, you can rename the _n.dds of this mod to _nh.dds. Actually, this is not a good idea.
