- It takes 20 skillups to reach the next level.

- Major skillups contribute 2/20 points towards reaching the next level and 2/10 points towards attribute bonuses.

- Minor skillups contribute 1/20 points towards reaching the next level and 1/10 points towards attribute bonuses.

- Misc skillups contribute nothing. You cannot use them to cheese +5 attribute bonuses.

- It is slightly easier to reach +3 and +4 attribute bonuses.

The effect of these changes is that major skills are by far your most important skills to raise. Minor skills are useful but slow your leveling down. It is easier to achieve high attribute bonuses by playing normally, but not too easy.

These changes also affect your maximum level. Maximizing all major skills increases your level by at most 35. Maximizing all minor skills increases your level by at most 21 levels. So the maximum achievable level is 57.
