📋 About This Mod
Description
I found no Birthsign mod that I liked, so I made my own. This goes hand in hand with my race mod with intended combinations, but can be used independently. It aims to make all birthsigns useful in some way, to leave none into the "strictly worse than having no birthsign at all" category.
The goal was to make birthsigns interesting in given situations or generally good whatever you want to do. I played on the theme of each birthsign rather than only on its' mechanics to make them immersive on top of useful.
Installation instructions
Extract in Morrowind>Data Files.
Main features
Beggar's Nose>Impregnable Walls (Ability):
Damage Attribute Speed, self, 30
Resist Normal Weapons, self, 30
A tower is resilient to attacks but not mobile.
Ondusi's Open Door>High Ground (Ability):
Fortify skill Destruction, self, 20
Fortify skill Marksman, self, 20
A tower offers tactical advantage to ranged defenders.
The Ritual:
Mara's Light (Ability):
Light, self, area 10, 40
Turn Undead, self, area 10, magnitude 100-100
Fortify skill Restoration, self, 20
Mara's light shines from you and strikes fear in the Undead. Good for Pacifists.
Blessed Touch (Power):
Restore Health, touch, 100
Mara's blessing can heal someone for you once a day.
Mara's Gift (Power):
Restores Health, self, 1 sec, 100
Once a day, you can use a powerful heal. Vanilla Power.
The Ritual needed good supporting boosts while remaining a pacifistic power that
makes the Undead a non-issue. No downsides other than being situational and killing
your chances of sneaking on someone. Good pure support/pacifist sign that makes playing
Lara Croft less annoying. Blessed Touch is a nice touch for protection quests.
If you encounter bugs with the passive Turn Undead feature, please comment. I welcome advice on how to fix any issue it may have (aura abilities are not as straightforward to make as they seem, just like passive on-hit damage). I know I had to modify it because the aura didn't work at first.
Charioteer (Ability):
Fortify skill Athletics, self, 20
Feather, self, 150
Fortify attribute Speed, self, 25
A real pack mule birthsign to carry your burden a little faster and make inventory
management less annoying. No downsides other than little use in combat and none in
NPC interactions.
The Apprentice: vanilla
Fay (Ability):
Fortify max Magicka, self, 50%
Fortify attribute Willpower, self, 15
Restore Magicka, self, 1
