📋 About This Mod
Video demonstrations are available.
Compatible with Animated Pickup and Shop Around and other mods about picking up stuff.
STARTING FROM INTERACTIONS ANIMATED 1. 0. 1, IF YOU USE ANIMATED PICKUP, YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE IT TO 1. 29a.
If you use Dynamic Camera by MaxYari, load Interactions Animated AFTER it
Enabling 'Use Additional Animation Sources' in the launcher's settings is required.
Enabling Smooth Animation Transitions in the launcher's settings is strongly recommended.
Known Issues
-
[]When switching from the 1stp to the 3rdp or vice versa while animation is played, the animation stops/disappears. Nothing serious, you just won't be able to see the seamless transition of the animation. This is an engine limitation, so please don't do that.[/]
Credits
Dubiousnpc for their animations
Tauer for their gold and parchment animations
taitechnic for converting Tauer's animations and props
PeterBitt for his sound.

[]Animated Morrowind OpenMW + BCOM Patch
This OpenMW mod adds character animations when interacting with the world, such as picking up items, opening containers and doors, and during dialogues. It enhances immersion for players who want more visual feedback in their Morrowind experience. With 118 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but active mod.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Brings Morrowind's static interactions to life with simple animation triggers
- Works across multiple interaction types—items, containers, doors, and dialogue
- Recently updated (July 2026) and has a small but engaged following (118 endorsements)
⚠️ Cons
- Requires OpenMW—won't work for players on the original Morrowind engine
- Limited to animations only—no other immersion features like sound or camera effects
For OpenMW players who want a more dynamic, living world without overhauling the game. If you're tired of your character standing still while looting a chest or opening a door, this mod adds that missing visual flair. Skip if you play on the original engine or prefer gameplay-focused mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you're running OpenMW, not the original Morrowind executable—this mod won't work otherwise.
- Since it's a simple mod, just drop the files into your OpenMW data directory or use a mod manager that supports OpenMW.
- Test the animations in a variety of situations—some containers or activators might not trigger if they're not set up correctly.
