📋 About This Mod
Dynamic Animations
The key features :
Variable walk speed
Applies a speed cap to wandering NPC's. Stops the unarmoured ones from rushing around like hyperactive ants, as they tend to do in the normal game. The smaller their wander radius is, the lower the speed cap.
Modified walk animations
Guards are given a distinct walking style. Slower walking NPC's have a slightly different animation from faster walking ones. These changes only apply to wandering NPC's.
Modified Argonian body shape proportions
Included is a version of Argonian Anatomy, modified to fix the "head popping" issue that occurs when used with OpenMW. Thanks to the original authors of that mod.
Custom walk animation for the Player
Select a unique walk animation for the player. This feature is fully working, but is currently of limited use. Apart from Dirnae's walk animation (most people will be using this already), there are no other alternative walk animations that have been made for Morrowind (that are publicly available). The vanilla Morrowind walk and Dirnae's walk are included as options, if anybody wants to test this feature out in-game.
Various player animation tweaks and fixes
Limit speed of player footstep sounds in First Person. More fluid transitions when switching between the different types of locomotion animations while moving (Walk / Run / Weapon / Spellcast), and when switching between First Person and Third Person.
Installation and Requirements
Requires OpenMW 0. 49 or better. Files should be installed in the same way as other OpenMW lua script mods, and then enable "Dynamic Animations.omwscripts" in the game launcher.
Check the following options are enabled in the game launcher settings :
-
[]Visuals --> Use additional animation sources[/]
[]Visuals --> Smooth Animation Transitions[/]
[]Gameplay --> Racial variation in speed fix : Optional, but recommended to avoid inconsistent walking speed caps for NPC's.[/]
