Description

Have you ever received the " Wizard's Staff " as part of the Mages Guild quest-line and thought to yourself: "I am not carrying around 16 weight of ebony to cast a Levitate spell I could easily cast myself."?

Did you ever want a better Wizard Staff that your Wizard-character would actually want to carry around and use throughout their entire adventure?

Do you enjoy customizable level-up mechanics and are not to worried about strong enchantment effects harming your game-balance?

Then this mod might be for you!

It introduces the opportunity to create your own Leveling Wizard Staff based on any base staff in the game, through a series of dreams where a mysterious character contacts you after you reach the rank of Wizard in the Mages Guild (customizable through MCM). If you accept their offer and follow their instructions, you will soon gain your own Wizard Staff that is permanently bound to your characters soul.

It starts out weak, but as you cast spells while holding it, you will gain the option to upgrade it in a customizable way by choosing which effects to add or strengthen from a list of effects. Some effects are available from the start, but some only get unlocked later after your staff has already gained a few levels. After a moderate amount of level-ups it will become a Wizard support item of significant strength and if you fully upgrade it to its full potential (which will take quite some time), it will likely turn out stronger than most other items in the game.

Installation instructions

Just extract the mod contents into your Data Files folder, either manually or with a Mod Manager like Vortex.

  Requirements

  Requires Morrowind Script Extender v2. 1. 0-4735 (the newest version at the date of this mods release, since an oversight was found and fixed during the development of this mod).
