Key to the Secret Library

WHAT IS THIS

Tl;dr: This mod adds a key to Mehra Milo's quarters that unlocks the trapdoors to the secret library in Vivec's Hall of Justice. Made for myself, for role-playing purposes, but can be useful if you just want to get into the secret library.

Full explanation: I've been playing a character who is not the Nerevarine, but who takes a very active role in trying to uncover the Tribunal's deception and help stop the tyranny they've wrought on Morrowind since the Battle of Red Mountain. Rather than just following the main story from quest to quest, she would actually talk to people, read relevant books and documents, and try to piece together the truth about the Tribunal and Nerevar organically. So when I (out-of-character, as a player) learned that there was a hidden library in the Hall of Justice containing all the most classified documents regarding Nerevar and Red Mountain, I knew my character was going to have to get in there.

Problem is, the trapdoors leading into the library are locked tight, possibly trapped (can't remember), and heavily guarded. My character was combat-focused but was not about to get Ordinator blood on her hands. It made sense that she couldn't just walk in, but the secret library was so relevant to her story that I had to find a way. And there are no keys to the library in-game.

So I modded in a key that unlocks the library. To keep it from being OP and unrealistic, I put the key on a shelf in Mehra Milo's quarters. The door to her quarters is locked, and it's trespassing if you're caught entering. The idea is that Milo, as a member of the Temple and one of its librarians, would have a key to the hidden library (they don't know she's a Dissident Priest yet!). And you, as a player character, wouldn't really have a reason to break into Milo's locked quarters unless you were already far enough into the main quest that you've spoken with Milo and are on the path to becoming Nerevarine and overthrowing the Tribunal. By the time you need a key that gets you into one of the highest-security places on Vvardenfell, you'd have a reason to go looking for it. So that prevents some level 1 numpty fresh off the boat from accidentally grabbing the key and wandering into the secret off-limits library of terrible secrets. Therefore, not OP or lore-unfriendly.

INSTALLATION

1. Place "Key to the Secret Library. ESP" in your Morrowind -> Data Files directory.

2. Activate the mod in your mod manager or launcher of choice.
