Border and Warped
Jewelcrafting utilises the newest features of the Crafting Framework along with the Skill Framework to create a full profession around making amulets and rings.
This mod is a new way to create Tamriel Data rings and amulets with increased enchant capacity based on your Jewelcrafting skill. Includes the Jewelcrafting profession with a custom skill from the Skill Framework, recipe scrolls scattered through merchants and booksellers, mining for gems, and a surprise for anyone who mines within the borders of Ghostgate along the slopes of Red Mountain. To start, buy Jewelcrafting Pliers from traders and merchants.
Features
- The Jewelcrafting skill is governed by Willpower, specialized under Magic, and appears in the Crafts section of your Stats Window. It starts at level 5 and caps at 100.
- Level it up by crafting jewelry, with a small amount of xp gained whenever you find a gem while mining. I highly recommend Simply Mining to find ore and gems consistently. Otherwise, gems can be found at Alchemists.
- Every time you mine an ore vein, you have a chance to find a gem alongside the ore. This works automatically with Simply Mining. Without it, each node gives one chance per harvest with a 1-day cooldown.
- Jewelry quality is warped based on the difference between the recipe's required level and your Jewelcrafting skill. Crafting well above the requirement produces higher-quality pieces, and higher-quality rings or amulets have increased Enchant capacity.
- If Armorer, Enchant, or Short Blade are among your Major or Minor skills, you'll gain slightly more XP.
- Use the console command lua jewelcrafting x
(where x is any number between 1-100) to set your skill to a specific level.
- Every recipe requires the Jewelcrafting Pliers (a misc item) to be in your inventory. Equip or activate them from your inventory to open the Crafting menu. You can find Jewelcrafting Pliers at traders, merchants, and pawnbrokers.
- Recipes exist for Common, Expensive, Extravagant, and Exquisite Amulets and Rings. You start knowing one Common Ring recipe and must learn the rest.
