📋 About This Mod

Please note: the Guards variant has been moved into a seperate addon file found in the same download. Please refer to the new Readme for installation instructions. This update is compatible with existing saves, but be sure to clean your save file with a tool such as Wrye Mash.

This edition of Interesting Outfits focuses on Imperial-aligned NPCs, giving various characters makeovers with assets from Tamriel_Data, OAAB_Data, Ivolga's Armored Robes, Danke's Armors, RuffinVangar, Kellborn, TheRealAshtaar, and others to make them feel less generic.

A Guard Diversity addon is also included, heavily inspired by Half11's Yet Another Guard Diversity. In IO - Imperials it only adds randomised guards for the Imperial Legion; you'll need the Guard Diversity version of IO - Kinsmer for Great House guards.

Requirements:

  • []Tamriel_Data and OAAB_Data

    Compatibilities:

    • []Includes versions compatible with Beautiful Cities of Morrowind.

    • []Compatible with Ivolga's Mabrigash Armored Robes. This mod doesn't touch the Mabrigash.

    • []Conflicts with Ivolga's Armored Robes Compilation and NPC changes. Edits the same npcs, also assets from that mod are included here.

    • []Conflicts with FMI - Athyn and Shardie (this mod does the same thing).

[]Will conflict with mods that edit the same npcs' appearances. The last mod in your load list should take precedence.

      Load Order:

      • []Beautiful Cities of Morrowind.esp

        []BCOM_pathgrid_reset.esp

        []RPNR_Library.esp (Library of Vivec Enhanced

        []IO - Kinsmer.esp

        []IO - Kinsmer ADDON Guards

[]IO - Vivec Palace Armigers Addon.esp

[]IO - Ordinators Patch for RPNR_Library.esp

        []IO - Imperials

        []IO - Cultists

        []IO - Ashlanders

        Recommendations:

There are a bunch of mods that compliment this one nicely:

        • []IO - Kinsmer - the other half of this mod!

[]IO - Cultists - for the cultists squatting in Daedric shrines.

[]IO - Solstheim TOTSP - gives the IO treatment to Solstheim: Tomb of the Snow Prince

          []Nordic Dagon Fel NPCs

[]Telvanni Magister Robes - Unique outfits for the Telvanni Masters

[]OAAB Battlemage Armor Replacer - Replaces OAAB's Battlemage Armor to look like the screenshots

[]Telvanni Armors - Slavers and Wizards

          []Dunmer Nobles Overhaul

          []Properly Clothed NPCs

[]Fashionwind - MWSE Glasses and Goggles - Not compatible with OpenMW

          [*]Weapon Sheath

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

This mod adds armor and clothing assets from several popular mods to Imperial-aligned NPCs in Morrowind, making them feel less generic. It's for players who want more visual variety in the game's Imperial factions without overhauling the entire game.

✨ Key Features

Adds assets from Tamriel_Data, OAAB_Data, Ivolga's Armored Robes, Danke's Armors, RuffinVangar, and Elucidace to Imperial NPCs.
Targets various Imperial-aligned NPCs to reduce generic appearances.
Requires multiple external mods for the added assets to work.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 172 endorsements and over 21k downloads.
  • Breathes new life into Imperial NPCs by mixing in high-quality armor and robe mods.
  • Lightweight addition that doesn't overhaul the whole game—just the Imperials.

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires a bunch of external mods (Tamriel_Data, OAAB_Data, etc.) which can be a hassle to install.
  • Only affects Imperial-aligned NPCs—if you're not into that faction, this mod does nothing for you.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind players who want to spice up Imperial guards, soldiers, and officials without a full visual overhaul. If you're already using the required mods, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you're not interested in Imperial factions or don't want to deal with dependency management.
📦 Install:Hard· 15+ minutes

💡 Beginner Tips
