Hide in Bushes (OpenMW)

New immersive stealth mechanic allowing you to hide in bushes. Based on the Skyrim mod of the same name.

- Adds a Chameleon effect when you sneak in bushes and plants that give you ingredients (organic containers) and scum. Walk away and the effect fades. It's simple, configurable, and makes sneaking involve your surroundings and environment

- Covers 1000+ bushes in vanilla, Tamriel Data and OAAB

- Grace period so that the chameleon effect doesn't flicker if you're walking between two or more bushes. Configurable in the settings

- Interior toggle. Lots of Morrowind interiors have houseplants that are technically bushes. The default is exterior-only but you can enable interiors in the settings if you want to hide in Jobasha's houseplants

- Performance friendly, only one ray is cast at a time which rotates around you when sneaking. Configurable in the settings

Does NOT work on grass, only placed objects (bushes/plants).

Compatibility

This mod does not modify any records, add any spells, or touch your save. It doesn't add any additional mechanics to detection or stealth either, so no scripts attached to NPCs. The Chameleon effect stacks cleanly with other sources of Chameleon from spells, enchantments, and potions. It should be compatible with everything.

Landscape mods that add bushes aside from TD and OAAB will work if their record IDs are added to the lookup table. If something isn't covered I'm happy to add/remove objects to the list of things that can hide you
