📋 About This Mod

WHY THIS MOD?

____________________________

This mod was inspired by the Danke's Armors, in particular by his great Atronach Armor. When I saw, I immediately felt that it deserved an immersive implementation into the game world. The initial idea eventually grew into a quest mod that features the armor as a reward. The story also provides the necessary background that revolves around the Daedric Realm of Flame Atronachs, also known as the Infernace. I added in some new creatures, new lore-friendly dialogues, an overhaul of the Velothi tower of Hanud and its inhabitants as well as a new weapon that complements the armor set.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

____________________________

Tel Branora

The main part of the mod is a quest that starts in Tel Branora. Speak to the armorer, Galen Berer, who will ask you for help in conducting an experiment. Unlike in vanilla, he's not just another smith, but rather a scholarly-oriented investigator, in a truly Telvanni way...

Hanud

The story will eventually lead you to the old Velothi tower of Hanud, now the seat of a powerful Telvanni wizard who consorts with the Daedra and maintains his very own gate to Oblivion. The mage will ask you to assisst him in his research, which could turn out to be quite a risky job. The whole vanilla location has been overhauled, together with its inhabitants, some of whom are visitors from the Infernace itself...

The quest potentially involves challenging combat, level 20+ is recommended.

Armor and weapon

After finishing the quest you gain access to the Infernace equipment which includes the armor based on the Danke's original one. I improved the models a little bit to avoid some clipping issues. I also added a new matching sword with a custom sheath for Weapon Sheathing compatibility. All the gear can be crafted for you on demand when you provide the necessary ingredients and pay an appropriate price. Let's not make Morrowind economy even more broken than it already is.

Should work with both OpenMW and MWSE.

COMPATIBILITY

____________________________

From the Flaming Realm is highly compatible, since it only touches the tower of Hanud and the house of the armorer in Tel Branora. I'm not aware of any other mods that change these locations, so let me know if you come across any conflicts. There is also one tiny change to one leveled list, so use a merging tool if you want to be 100% safe.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid download-to-endorsement ratio (11,641 downloads, 55 endorsements) — players are grabbing it, and those who endorse seem to dig it.
  • Quest mods for Morrowind are always welcome, and this one ties into Daedric lore, which is a fan favorite.
  • Overhauling a vanilla location adds replay value for veterans who know the original spot by heart.

⚠️ Cons

  • Endorsement count is modest (55), so it's not a proven community favorite yet.
  • Last updated in May 2024 — not abandoned, but no recent updates to fix potential issues or add polish.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind players who crave more Daedric quests and don't mind a bit of vanilla location revamping. If you're a lore buff who loves Telvanni eccentricity and Flame Atronach lore, this is right up your alley. Skip if you prefer combat-heavy mods or want voice acting — this is classic text-based Morrowind questing.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have Morrowind's Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions installed, as many quest mods assume they're present.
  • Use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or OpenMW's built-in manager to keep track of your load order and avoid conflicts.
  • If you're using OpenMW, test the mod early in a new playthrough to catch any script issues before you're deep into the game.
