📋 About This Mod
WHY THIS MOD?
____________________________
Alchemy is clearly messed up in vanilla Morrowind. It is a true Pandora's box when it comes to breaking the game. You can easily create overpowered potions that last weeks or drink 50 bottles of Sujamma and kill virtually any enemy in the game at level 1. This mod is my attempt to solve this problem.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
____________________________
Toxicity module
Options to choose from:
1. Fatigue version (my default choice, less punishing, more immersive)
Drinking or eating more than one item at once causes a toxic overconsumption effect: your digestive system becomes overloaded which negatively affects your fatigue. You have to wait some time (around 25 s) before drinking/eating something else in order to avoid the overconsumption penalty (the lower your alchemy skill, the longer you have to wait). Besides, the toxic effect is cumulative, meaning that every other thing you ingest without the "cool-down" will cause more abdominal pain.
1st item -> no toxicity
2nd item -> lowers your fatigue by 25% of your current fatigue
3rd item -> lowers your fatigue by 50% of your current fatigue
4th item -> lowers your fatigue by 75% of your current fatigue
5th item -> knocks you out
Stuffing your face with five or more items in a row causes a critical stomach failure. You fall down unconscious, unable to do anything.
It will take some time (around 25 s) to recover (the lower your alchemy skill, the longer you have to wait). You will never be knocked out before reaching the final stage of overconsumption.
2. Health version (more punishing, less immersive)
As described above, but instead of fatigue, the overconsumption takes a toll on your health.
1st item -> no toxicity
2nd item -> deals damage equal to 25% of your maximum health
3rd item -> deals damage equal to 50% of your maximum health
4th item -> deals damage equal to 75% of your maximum health
5th item -> kills you
The 5th item eaten/drunk in a row causes a critical stomach failure and you just die. Moreover, you can die at an earlier stage of overconsumption as well if you don't wait to recover, since the calculations are based on you maximum health (not current health).
For each version (fatigue-based or health-based) you can also choose if you want the overconsumption effect to be caused by drinking, eating, or both.
GMSTs module
